How to Play Plot Pour

  1. 1

    Open the lot

Tap Easy, Medium, or Hard. Then Open the lot. Hoses start at three. Six Lots reach Crew done.

  2. 2

    Stretch the basin

The brief shows Need. Drag a corner until Length × Width equals Need. The equation chips show Length, Width, and Area. When Need matches, Pour glows.

  3. 3

Pour, then finish the word problem

Pour fills the basin and you hear Poured! Next, Stretch the Deck and Stamp, Stretch the Spa and Stamp, or Drag Split to the tens and Pour each patch. A wrong Pour or Stamp is a Spill.

  4. 4

    Fill Lots to Crew done

Clear six Lots to win, or keep going until the Hoses are gone. Crew done and Lot dry show your Splashes score, a rank, and Open another lot.

Key Features

  • Stretch the basin

Need shows a set area. Drag a corner on the sandy lot until Length × Width equals Need. Any factor pair that fits the lot works. Then Pour. A hit fills the basin and adds Splashes. A miss is a Spill and snuffs a Hose.

  • Word problems on the same lot

After Pour, the brief asks for more. Easy adds a Deck along the Length. Medium adds a Deck or a Spa. Hard asks you to Split the patio at the tens, then Pour each patch of the area model.

  • Splashes score and streak

Each Poured! starts at 100 Splashes and grows by 40 with a streak. Stamp and Split hits start at 80. Point pops fly off Pour and Stamp. A Spill resets the streak.

  • Difficulty that changes the skill

Easy uses small lots and a 1-unit Deck. Medium opens bigger lots and a Deck or a Spa you must stretch to exact factors. Hard keeps wide lots, then Split the patio so tens sit on one side of the area model.

What is Plot Pour?

Plot Pour is a fifth grade area and multiplication game. Kids Stretch the basin on a backyard lot so Length × Width equals Need, then Pour. Follow-up word problems keep the same chips: Stamp a Deck, Stamp a Spa, or Split the patio and Pour each patch of an area model. Easy stays on small lots. Medium and Hard open bigger lots. Hard uses tens splits. The skill is building a rectangle and reading its area, not tapping a quiz card.

Why Play Plot Pour?

  • 1

    Area as Length × Width

Fifth grade math asks kids to see a rectangle as an area model. Plot Pour makes that a stretch: read Need, Stretch the basin, then Pour.

  • 2

Word problems that stay on the lot

A Deck, a Spa, or Split the patio uses the basin the kid just poured. Multiplication answers questions about area without leaving the yard.

  • 3

    Instant lot feedback

A hit fills water and the brief says Poured! or Laid! A Spill punches the lot and resets the streak. The board always uses Stretch the basin, Need, Pour, Stamp, and Split, so the lot and the how-to say the same words.

  • 4

Works on a finger or a mouse

Drag a corner handle or drag across the sand. Touch targets stay large, and Pour glows when Need already matches.
