How to Play Boardwalk Tap

  1. 1

    Start the Walk

Pick Easy, Medium, or Hard. Press Walk. Planks begin sliding toward the tar post.

  2. 2

    Tap on Arrival

Tap when a plank hits the post. A long plank is one Tap. Two short planks are two quick Taps.

  3. 3

    Stack the Hits

A clean Tap clacks the plank onto the stack and adds Score and Streak. A late or early Tap is a splash and costs a life.

  4. 4

    Finish Twelve Planks

Twelve Planks end the walk. Three misses also end it. Best remembers your high Score.

Key Features

  • A Sun-Bleached Pier

Weathered planks, a tar post, rust nails, and salt water under the walk. Long planks and short pairs slide in from the water side.

  • Tap the Walk

Tap the pier, press Tap, or hit Space as a plank meets the post. One Tap for a long quarter. Two quick Taps for a pair of eighths.

  • Clack or Splash

A hit clacks the plank and flips it into the stack. A miss sends the plank into the water and costs a life. Score and Streak track the walk.

  • Difficulty Changes the Beat

Easy is quarters only, slow. Medium mixes quarters and eighths. Hard is the same mix, faster. Best Score is saved for each setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What skill does Boardwalk Tap practice?

Rhythm timing. Kids Tap quarters (one hit) and eighths (two quick hits) as planks reach the tar post.

How do I Tap?

Tap the walk, press the Tap button, or press Space. Time the hit as the plank meets the post.

How do Score and Streak work?

Each on-time Tap adds Score and grows Streak. A splash resets Streak and costs a life. Best is saved per difficulty.

Can I mute the clacks?

Yes. The speaker button sits on the plank rail next to Score, Streak, and Planks. It remembers Mute or Sound.
