Hold the clip
Easy names the sample and the state — Slide heat until fog reads as Gas. Hard names the change: Melt, Freeze, Evaporate, Condense.

Slide heat
The thermometer is a glass rail. Solid at the bottom, Liquid in the middle, Gas at the top. Release the clip when the particles match.
