Conversion Express
Run a delivery depot in this fifth-grade math game. Convert measurements first, then divide, subtract, or add to solve a story and send the truck.
Read the order slip
Read the story and check the conversion factor. Notice the unit the answer needs.
Convert the first measurement
Choose a parcel with the equivalent number of milliliters, inches, or grams. Tap or click a parcel, or use Tab and Enter or Space.
Solve the story
Use the equivalent measurement to divide, subtract, or add. Choose the parcel with your answer to load the truck and send it on its way.
Finish the route
Choose Next order after a delivery. After the sixth delivery, choose See results, then New orders for a fresh run.
Two steps per delivery
In Convert, choose the parcel with the equivalent measurement in the smaller unit. In Solve, use the converted value to answer the story and send the truck.
Three kinds of stories
Divide juice into equal cups, subtract to compare ribbon lengths, and add the masses of two sacks of flour.
A conversion reference on every slip
The slip shows the conversion factor during the order. After the first correct choice, it also shows the equivalent amount in the smaller unit.
Six untimed orders
Each run includes two orders of each kind. A wrong choice resets Streak and gives a hint. The same order stays open so you can try again.
Conversion Express is an untimed fifth-grade game for solving two-step measurement stories. In every order, two quantities start in different units. Convert the first quantity to the smaller unit so both use the same scale. Then use the story to decide how to combine or compare the numbers. For example, the café has 2 L of juice and each cup holds 250 mL. Choose 2,000 mL in Convert, because 2 × 1,000 = 2,000. In Solve, divide 2,000 mL by 250 mL per cup. Choose 8 cups to load the truck. The order shows the calculation after you solve it.
Make the units match first
Seeing the equivalent quantity before the second step helps connect a conversion to its purpose in a word problem.
Choose the operation from context
The story tells you whether to find how many groups fit, find a difference, or find a combined mass.
Read the answer with its unit
Answer parcels include the unit. A cup count, a length in inches, and a mass in grams describe different results.
Practice at your own pace
Every order stays available until it is solved, and new runs vary the quantities while revisiting all three skills.
Liters to milliliters, feet to inches, and kilograms to grams. Each order slip shows the relevant conversion factor.
You receive a hint and Streak resets. The truck waits and you can choose a different parcel on the same step.
Each completed order adds 100 points. Consecutive orders without a wrong choice build a Streak bonus of up to 80 points per order. Best saves your highest Score in this browser.
The game is untimed. Every answer is selected from parcels using touch, mouse, or the keyboard.
Yes. After six orders, choose See results and then New orders. The quantities change between runs.
