A tin weather shed at copper sunset. Wool wisps drift over the roof, each stamped with an English sight word. Slide the copper gaff and hook the matching wisp on the Slate. A hit blooms a Halo. A miss is a Rain dump on the shed. Eight Wisps clear the sky. Kindergarten and first-grade sight words.
Read the Slate
The Slate shows the English sight word. That is the matching wisp to hook.
Slide the Gaff
Slide the gaff along the tin roof. The hook glows when it is over a wisp. Reach up and hook the matching word.
Halo or Rain Dump
The right wisp blooms a Halo and you score. A wrong wisp is a Rain dump. You lose a Lamp and the Streak resets. If the matching wisp drifts past, that is a miss too.
Clear Eight Wisps
Hook eight Wisps to hear Sky cleared. Switch Easy, Medium, or Hard on the tin chips whenever you like.
A Shed, Not a Quiz Strip
Wisps drift over a corrugated tin roof. You slide the Gaff and hook the matching word. A hit blooms a Halo. A miss is a Rain dump and a dark Lamp.
The Word on the Slate
The Slate shows the English sight word to hook. The, and, come, where — the words stay English. You read the stamp on each wisp and reach for the match.
More Wisps, Harder Foils
Easy hangs two wisps and short words. Medium adds kindergarten words. Hard hangs four wisps and look-alike stamps like the next to then.
Eight Wisps
Each Halo scores 100 plus a Streak bonus. Three dark Lamps end the run. A perfect sky adds a bonus when the sky is cleared.
Wisp Gaff is a kindergarten and first-grade sight word game. Players slide a copper gaff on a weather shed and hook the wool wisp that matches the word on the Slate. The skill is reading high-frequency English words while the clouds drift.
You Hook the Wisp
There is no row of answer buttons. The gaff has weight. Hooking a wisp changes the shed: Halo bloom, or Rain dump.
Look-Alikes Stay Honest
Hard hangs the next to then, where next to there. The stamp has to be the sight word kids meet in books.
A Steady Stage
The tin HUD, Slate, roof rail, and gaff keep the same height. Feedback is Halo, recoil, and overlays, not a layout jump.
Touch First
The Gaff is a big drag target. A wisp highlights when the hook is over it.
Hook the wisp whose stamp matches the Slate. If the Slate says come, hook come, not down.
The rain wool blooms a Halo, you score, and a Lamp stays lit. After eight Wisps the sky is cleared.
How many wisps drift and how close the wrong words are. Easy is two short words. Hard hangs four wisps and look-alike stamps.
No. Slide the Gaff and hook a wisp. If a foil drifts past the roof it comes back. If the matching wisp drifts past, you lose a Lamp.
Kindergarten and first grade (about ages 5–7), when students build a base of sight words for later reading.
