A late-afternoon screened porch holds wicker crates and a plush cub. Read a kindergarten position word — in, on, under, by — then drag the cub to that spot. Harder seats add above, behind, between, and look-alikes like under and beneath. Prepositions become places you can put a bear.
Read the Tag
A position word hangs on the porch. Tap Hear if you want it spoken again.
Grab the Cub
Drag the cub from the rail. Empty spots show a paw print so the drop is obvious.
Seat the Word
Drop the cub in, on, under, or by the crate — whichever word you read. The hot spot glows while you drag.
Keep the Porch Still
A wrong drop costs a firefly. Seat eight cubs before the flies go dark.
A Porch, Not a Quiz Strip
The cub lives on a rail. You drag it onto a crate lid, into the hamper, under the weave, or beside the slats. A hit snaps the cub into place. A miss recoils it back to the rail.
Read the Word, Then Seat It
A painted tag shows an English position word and the porch speaks it. You read in, on, under, or by and put the cub where that word lives.
Spots Get Harder
Easy seats label four spots. Medium hides the labels and adds above. Hard brings a second crate so behind and between appear, plus synonyms like beneath and below.
Eight Seats
Each correct seat scores 100 plus a streak bonus. Three missed fireflies end the run. Clear eight seats to still the porch.
Porch Cub is a kindergarten positional-words game. Players read a preposition and drag a stuffed cub to the matching place around a wicker crate. The skill is connecting a high-frequency position word to a real spot in space.
The Word Has a Place
This is not a row of answer buttons. in means the hamper. under means the floor shadow. Kids feel the preposition.
Synonyms Stay Honest
Hard mode treats beneath and below as the same slot as under, and opens behind and between once a second crate arrives.
A Steady Stage
The enamel HUD, crate, and rail keep the same height. Hits seat the cub. Misses shake and recoil. No layout jump.
Touch First
The cub and every drop pad are large targets. Drag uses a window-level pointer follow so a thumb does not scroll the page away.
Read the word on the painted tag. Drag the cub to that spot around the crate — in, on, under, by, and more on harder seats.
The cub snaps into the spot, you score, and a new word hangs on the tag. Eight seats win the run.
Easy labels four spots. Medium hides labels and adds above. Hard adds a second crate, behind and between, and synonym words like beneath and below.
The cub recoils to the rail and you lose a firefly. Three misses end the run.
Pre-K through first grade (about ages 4–7), when students learn positional words and high-frequency prepositions.
