How to Play Porch Chime

  1. 1

    Choose a Night

Pick Easy, Medium, or Hard. Press Listen. The moth flies the first tune on the copper tubes.

  2. 2

    Tap the Tubes

When Listen ends, Tap the tubes in the same order. Letters on the tubes are only a tiny engrave — tap the tube itself.

  3. 3

    Keep the Echoes

A clean echo adds Score, grows Streak, and fills one Echoes mark. A miss drops the moth and costs a life.

  4. 4

    Finish the Porch

Eight Echoes close the night. Three misses dim the porch. Best remembers your high Score.

Key Features

  • An Evening Porch

Clapboard, a warm bulb, and four copper tubes. A moth or firefly flies the tune. The tubes swing and glow when they ring.

  • Listen, Then Echo

Press Listen. The moth plays a sequence on the tubes. Tap the tubes in that order. This is a performance, not a multiple-choice quiz.

  • Hits Ring, Misses Drop

A hit makes the tube ring and swing and adds Score. A miss knocks the tube, the moth drops, and you lose a life.

  • Difficulty Changes the Tune

Easy is 2 notes. Medium is 3. Hard is 4–5 notes with a faster moth. Best Score is saved for each setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What skill does Porch Chime practice?

Short melody memory and pitch order. Kids hear C, E, G, and A on copper tubes, then Tap the tubes to echo the moth.

How do I play a round?

Press Listen. Watch the moth and the glowing tubes. Then Tap the tubes in that order. Do not pick from a list of answers.

How do Score and Streak work?

Each correct tap adds Score. Finishing an echo adds more and grows Streak. A miss resets Streak and costs a life. Best is saved per difficulty.

Can I mute the chimes?

Yes. The speaker button sits on the porch rail next to Score, Streak, and Echoes. It remembers Mute or Sound.
