Drag a brass cargo hook along a harbor loft beam to add fractions on a number line. Start on the first addend, haul the distance of the second, and let go on the sum. Three lives, a streak bonus, and Easy / Medium / Hard.
Read the Crate
The stencil crate shows two fractions to add. The hook is already parked on the first one.
Haul the Distance
Drag the hook along the beam by the second fraction. The live +n/d label shows how far you have moved.
Let Go on the Sum
Release on the tick that equals the total. A hit loads the hold and pops points. A miss costs a life.
Fill the Hold
Eight good hauls fill the hold. Three slips end the run. Change Easy, Medium, or Hard any time; the loft restarts.
A Harbor Loft Beam
The I-beam is a number line. Tick tags mark 0, unit fractions, and 1 (or 2 on Hard). The hook starts on the first addend.
Drag the Haul
Pull the trolley along the beam. A brass measuring chain shows how far you have hauled. Release to lock onto the nearest tick.
Instant Load or Splash
Land on the sum and the crate drops into the hold. Miss and the hook slips, the crate hits the water, and you lose a life.
Score, Streak, and Best
Hits start at 100 points and climb by 50 with each streak. Fill eight crates to win. Best score is saved per difficulty.
Adding fractions on a number line: treating each addend as a distance and landing on the sum. That is the same picture used when students place 1/4 + 2/4 at 3/4.
Easy uses halves and fourths on a line from 0 to 1. Medium adds sixths and eighths. Hard mixes denominators and extends the beam past 1.
A first hit is 100 points. Each extra hit in a row adds 50 more (100, then 150, 200, and so on). A miss resets the streak. Best score is saved for each difficulty.
No. You drag the hook and release on the sum. The board changes: the crate drops into the hold or splashes in the harbor.
Yes. The speaker button sits in the HUD next to Score and remembers your choice.
