Guess the Equation

How to Play Multiple Meadows

  1. 1

    Read the trail

The hint says Hop on multiples. Collect five carrots on every trail. On a fresh game, Trail 1 / 8 says Hop on multiples of 3, the equation starts at 1 × 3 = 3, and Carrots shows five empty icons.

  2. 2

    Choose a numbered stone

Tap a stone, or press keys 1-6. The guide says Choose a numbered stone. Keys 1-6 hop to the matching stone.

  3. 3

    Check Score and the equation

A multiple adds to Score and Streak, fills one carrot, and shows a fact such as 2 × 3 = 6 on Your multiplication trail. A miss sets Streak to 0 and shows the two neighboring facts, and the stones stay up for another try.

  4. 4

    Press Next trail

After five carrots, press Next trail. On Trail 8 / 8, that button opens Meadow adventure complete! with the Score line, and Play again starts Trail 1 / 8.

Key Features

  • Six stones, three multiples

Six stones appear at the start of a trail: three unused multiples from 1 times the trail number through 12 times it, and three other numbers in that span. Any multiple is a valid hop, the landed stone then clears, and that multiple does not return on the trail.

  • Five carrots, eight trails

The task reads Hop on multiples of the trail number, and each correct hop fills one carrot. Five carrots collected! shows Next trail, and the default order is 3, 2, 5, 4, 6, 9, 7, 8, counted as Trail 1 / 8 through Trail 8 / 8.

  • Score, Streak, and Best

A correct hop scores 20 points plus 5 points per Streak step, capped at 5 steps, so the awards are 25, 30, 35, 40, and then 45, and Streak carries into the next trail. A miss sets Streak to 0, Score and carrots stay, and Best stores the highest Score on this device.

  • Practice a number

Settings lists 2 through 10 under Practice a number, with the line Eight trails · no timer. New practice run restarts all eight trails on the chosen number, and Return to trail closes the panel and keeps the current trail.

What is Multiple Meadows?

Multiple Meadows is a meadow of numbered stones where a bunny hops to multiples of one number and collects five carrots. The multiples come from 1 times that number through 12 times it, and the HUD counts Trail 1 / 8 through Trail 8 / 8. The settings line says Eight trails · no timer. On the trail for 6, a hop to 18 shows 18 is a multiple of 6! and the equation 3 × 6 = 18. A hop to 20 shows 20 is not a multiple of 6. Try another stone. The equation under that miss is 3 × 6 = 18 < 20 < 24 = 4 × 6.

Why Play Multiple Meadows?

  • 1

    A miss keeps the carrots

A wrong stone shakes, and the message says to try another stone. Streak returns to 0. Score and the carrots already earned stay on the trail.

  • 2

    Every hop shows a fact

A correct hop writes the multiplication, such as 4 × 5 = 20, and Your multiplication trail highlights it among the twelve multiples. A miss writes the two facts on either side of the number you chose.

  • 3

One number, or the default order

New practice run uses one number from 2 to 10 on all eight trails. Play again returns to the default order: 3, 2, 5, 4, 6, 9, 7, 8.

  • 4

    Best stays on this device

Best updates when Score goes past it, including before the run ends. The next run starts Score and Streak at 0 and leaves Best in place.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many trails are in a game?

Eight trails, and each one needs five carrots. The counter reads Trail 1 / 8 through Trail 8 / 8. In the default run the numbers are 3, 2, 5, 4, 6, 9, 7, then 8. The settings line says Eight trails · no timer.

What happens on a wrong stone?

The message names the number and says it is not a multiple, then Try another stone. Streak goes to 0. Score and carrots stay, the stone remains, and there are no lives. Any other multiple on the trail still counts.

How does the score work?

The first correct hop in a streak is 25 points. Later hops in that streak are 30, 35, 40, and then 45, because each hop adds 5 points up to a Streak of 5. A miss sets Streak to 0, so the next correct hop is 25 again. Streak keeps counting on the next trail until a miss.

Can my child practice just one number?

Yes. Settings is labeled Practice a number and lists 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. New practice run starts Trail 1 / 8 again, and all eight trails use that number. Return to trail closes Settings and leaves the current trail in place. Play again on the end screen returns to the default order.

What grade is Multiple Meadows for?

Fourth grade. Each trail asks for multiples of one number, using the facts from 1 times that number through 12 times it.
