Create a class
A class is a period or group you reuse. It holds the roster, the games you assigned, and each student’s scores. Students never sign in. Your adult account owns the class.
Start at the For teachers page and sign in. BrowserFun asks for an adult account because classes store student first names and scores on your login. Kids do not get passwords, emails, or profiles.
Name the class after the period or group you teach — for example Homeroom, Period 3, or After-school. You can rename it later. Each class gets a 4-letter code you put on the board or share as a join link.
One class per group is enough. You can keep several classes on the same account, up to 20. Archive a class you no longer need instead of deleting the history you still want to read.
After you create the class, open it. That screen is where you paste names, assign games, copy the join code, and later read results. Students cannot join until you add at least one name.
How to create a class
Sign in as an adult
Use the teacher sign-in. Students never need this step.
Name the class
Use a short label your students will recognize.
Open the class
Copy the 4-letter code. Then add the roster and assign games before you run it with kids.
Tips
- Create a class before the lesson. Pasting names takes longer than assigning games.
- If you already have a class, use Add to class on any game page instead of starting over.
- Archived classes cannot be joined until you unarchive them.
Questions teachers ask
- Why do teachers need an account if games are free?
- The account stores your classes, rosters, and results. Games stay free. Students still play without signing in.
- How many classes can I create?
- Up to 20. Archive one if you hit the limit.
