What is a Word Scramble Game?

A word scramble game presents a familiar word with its letters shuffled into a random order. Your job is to figure out the original word and type it in before the timer runs out. Unlike slower puzzle formats, Word Scramble is a fast-paced speed challenge — you have one shared timer for all 10 rounds, so every second counts. The combo system rewards consistency: answer correctly back-to-back to multiply your points and shoot up the scoreboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is scoring calculated?

Each correct answer is worth 100 base points plus 25 × (combo - 1) bonus points. For example, a 4× combo earns 100 + 75 = 175 points per word. Skipping or answering wrong resets your combo to zero.

What happens when I type a wrong answer?

The input briefly flashes red and clears. The timer keeps running, and you stay on the same word. Your combo resets to zero.

What's the difference between difficulties?

Easy uses 3-5 letter words with 90 seconds. Medium uses 6-7 letter words with 75 seconds. Hard uses 8+ letter words with only 60 seconds — longer words are harder to unscramble quickly.

Can I skip a word I don't know?

Yes! Tap the Skip button to move to the next word. Skipping costs your combo streak but doesn't waste as much time as repeated wrong guesses.

How many words are in the game?

There are 25-30 words per category. Each game randomly picks 10 from the selected category (or all categories in Mixed mode) matching your difficulty's length range.

Is the answer case-sensitive?

No. The game automatically converts your input to uppercase, so you can type in any case and it will still match.
