What is a GLTF/GLB 3D Model Viewer?

A GLTF/GLB viewer is a tool for displaying and interacting with 3D models in the GLTF (GL Transmission Format) standard. GLTF is the modern standard for 3D content delivery, while GLB is the binary version. Our browser-based viewer uses Three.js and React Three Fiber to render models with proper lighting, shadows, and materials, supporting both simple GLB files and complex GLTF projects with external resources.

Why Use Our 3D Model Viewer?

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between GLTF and GLB files?

GLTF is a JSON-based format that can reference external files like .bin (binary data) and texture images. GLB is a binary format that contains all resources in a single file. Our viewer supports both formats automatically.

Can I view models with animations?

Yes, the viewer automatically detects and can play embedded animations in GLTF/GLB files. Use the animation controls when available to play, pause, and switch between different animations.

Do I need to upload texture files separately?

For GLB files, textures are embedded. For GLTF files, you can upload texture files (.jpg, .png, .webp, .avif) along with the main GLTF file, and the viewer will automatically associate them.

Are there file size limits?

No artificial file size limits are imposed. The viewer processes models entirely in your browser, so the only limitation is your device's available memory and processing power.

Can I take screenshots of my 3D models?

Yes, use the camera button in the top-right corner to capture high-quality PNG screenshots of your model with the current lighting and camera position.

What if my GLTF model has missing bin files?

The viewer will detect missing bin files and show an error message listing what's needed. Make sure to upload all required .bin files along with your main .gltf file.
